As a heat dome solidifies itself over the central and southern Plains, a ring of fire of storms can develop from the High Plains to the Great Lakes. Storm complexes that travel along this outer edge of the heat dome are called "Ridge Riders." These storms typically have a lot of lightning and wind inside them, not so many tornadoes. We are expecting a slightly warmer than normal July with more 90s than 80s across central Indiana. Expect high humidity to continue with the wet spring and the crops growing.
