Description
An Indianapolis man is fighting for his life at the hospital after a driver hit him while he was riding his bike early Friday morning on the city's east side.
Family members of 28-year-old Jaylen Brown said he is still in critical condition in the intensive care unit at Methodist Hospital.
While doctors do everything they can to save Jaylen's life, his family is hoping the driver who hit him turns themself in.
"We're being very hopeful and optimistic. It's very touch and go right now," Trina Brown, Jaylen's sister, said. "Multiple brain bleeds, several facial fractures. He had to be trached because he couldn't breathe properly on his own anymore. Someone hit him incredibly hard and left him there to die."
IMPD said the hit-and-run happened shortly before 5 a.m. June 27 in the 3600 block of East Washington Street, near Sherman Drive.
