IMPD is investigating after two people were shot, one fatally, at a west Indianapolis park Saturday afternoon. According to a release from IMPD, around 7:30 p.m. on June 28, officers responded to a report of a shooting at 4649 West Vermont Street, which is listed as Thatcher Park online. When officers arrived, they found two people, an adult male and an adult female, who had been shot. Both were initially reported to be in critical condition, but IMPD later said the man was in stable condition at an area hospital while the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
