Cumberland police are investigating after a boy died following a shooting early Friday morning. The shooting was reported shortly after 1 a.m. June 27 in the 11500 block of Dunshire Drive, near Washington and North Muessling streets. Responding Cumberland Metropolitan Police Department officers found a 12-year-old boy with an apparent gunshot wound, who was taken to an Indianapolis hospital.
