Description
There is new data from the Indiana Department of Health about how much kids are using tobacco.
The 2024 Indiana Youth Tobacco Survey talked to more than 4,800 students in Indiana public high schools and middle schools. The survey showed an overall decline in tobacco use in 2024 — an encouraging trend among our state's youth. But there's more to it, and some forms of tobacco use are still raising concerns among experts.
The survey found that overall declining tobacco use can be attributed to less e-cigarette use and less cigarette, smokeless tobacco and cigar use in recent years.
