Description
Boone County unveiled a new tribute on Thursday to remember Deputy Jacob Pickett, more than seven years after his death in the line of duty.
On June 26, the Boone County Sheriff's Office dedicated a memorial mile sign in his honor.
The section of Interstate 65 between mile markers 137 and 138 is now the "Deputy Jacob Pickett Memorial Mile."
