Description
An Indianapolis firefighter was seriously injured when he was shocked while working to remove a tree downed onto a home during Wednesday's storms.
IFD Battalion Chief Rita Reith says the 29-year-old firefighter was on the roof of a home in the 6300 block of East Berwyn Street, near Troy and Arlington avenues on the southeast side of Indianapolis, when he was shocked. The firefighter, who was using a chainsaw at the time, fell about 12 feet from the roof into the backyard.
