Description
It is one of the largest civil infrastructure projects in the history of Indianapolis: the decades-in-the-making DigIndy Tunnel System.
More than 250 feet below the earth's surface, the system is designed to capture and treat sewer overflow, rather than sending it straight into the city's waterways.
On Tuesday, 13News toured the Deep Rock Tunnel Connector and Pump Station off Southport Road.
