A huge IOU to Indiana jails is finally getting paid back soon — millions of dollars owed for housing state inmates in county jails.
Plus, there's a new fix so that those types of delayed reimbursements don't happen again.
The reimbursements owed to county jails in Indiana now top $12 million — a full year of back payments for housing state felons before they're moved to prison to serve their sentence.
