IMPD has issued a statement in the aftermath of a video going viral showing an officer allegedly shoot projectiles and tackle a man in downtown Indianapolis early Sunday morning. According to the statement, police say that around 3:30 a.m. on June 15, IMPD's Event Response Group officers were working to manage large crowds on South Meridian Street as bars began closing for the night.
