Breckenridge is a town known for snow but in the summer it’s known for Flowers. The Breckenridge Public Works Department plants 1000s of flowers all over town, bringing them in from nurseries in Fort Collins Denver, and the mountain town of Alma. Because cold weather hangs on a little longer in that part of the state the rule is that most people don’t plant until after Father’s Day so right now there are a lot of flowers in Breckenridge where teams will work to keep them looking good all summer.
