Hyundai and Kia vehicles make up a significant portion of auto thefts in Colorado, according to the Colorado Auto Theft Prevention Authority (CATPA). The top 10 stolen vehicles in 2024 in Colorado included two Hyundai models and three Kia models. Through June of this year, about one out of every five vehicles stolen in Colorado is one of those two makes, which share platforms and security features.
