A misdemeanor criminal trial is currently underway with a teacher facing allegations she gave pot infused brownies to two boys who won a writing contest in her classroom last year. The suspect taught language arts at Kepner Beacon Middle School. She is accused of giving the homemade brownies to two 12-year-old boys on June 3, 2024. Records show she is facing two counts of misdemeanor child abuse. 9NEWS is not identifying her at this time as we learn more about the case and the charges she faces.
