Researchers at the University of South Florida are developing new predictive models to better understand and forecast the spread of dengue virus, as Florida sees a rise in both travel-related and locally acquired infections. From 2010 to 2024, the state recorded more than 3,800 travel-associated dengue cases and over 500 locally transmitted infections.
