Drinking water will soon be more accessible in Tampa after city officials announced a "multi-departmental effort" to install a new, 24/7 drinking fountain.
City leaders held a press conference Monday morning in the area of North 22nd Street and Emma Street in East Tampa, the same location the new water fountain was installed. This is part of an initiative to keep communities safer during extreme heat, officials say, reducing the risk of dehydration, heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
