A woman is facing charges after a camper trailer fire left one dead in Sarasota County. The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office says the fire happened after 1 a.m. Tuesday at the Palm and Pines Lakeshore Motor Home and RV community in Nokomis, where fire officials found a man unconscious and not breathing. Officials removed him from the trailer and tried performing life-saving measures, but he later died close to 1:45 a.m. Deputies have arrested 44-year-old Juanita Pendell in this case. She is charged with homicide and first-degree arson. No other information was immediately available.
