A Tampa police officer was shot Wednesday morning near Busch Gardens and the Tampa Police Department headquarters, according to officials. The Tampa Police Department says this happened in the area of North 30th Street and E Busch Boulevard. The officer was taken to the hospital and is currently stable. TPD says the scene is secure and there is no threat to the public. No other information was immediately available.
