The 10 Tampa Bay weather team is issuing a Weather Impact Alert for Wednesday afternoon, due to storms and rounds of heavy rain. Tropical moisture returns to the area today with rounds of heavy rain as a weak area of low pressure moves into the Gulf. Today will start off calm, but more storms will move through the area from the south. The main threat with these storms is the potential for heavy downpours and localized flooding. Over the next couple of days, 1-3 inches of rain on average can be expected for the area. There will be isolated pockets of heavier amounts.
