Why did the alligator cross the road? Well, according to this video, it was to get back to its swamp home with a fish in its mouth. Evelyn Bell saw the reptile walking across the dirt road on Friday near the historic pump house on Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive north of Orlando. Many gators call that area home, as they are at the top of the food chain there, according to county officials.
