New information has just been released as a former Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer faces three charges of child molestation. According to court documents, David McDaniel, 54, of New Palestine, allegedly molested two girls on several occasions, with one of them happening when one of the victims was 8 years old. The Indiana State Police investigation began July 9 when a 17-year-old told her father that she had been sexually abused by a family friend, whom she identified as McDaniel, for approximately nine years. Another 17-year-old girl also told police that McDaniel abused her.
