The Boone County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) is investigating after someone shot a plane that was flying in the area of Dover on the western side of the county. The shooting happened on Friday, July 18 in the area of State Road 32 and State Road 75. According to the sheriff's office, the plane was able to land, and the pilot was not injured. Investigators were only releasing limited details "due to the ongoing nature of the investigation."
