Five people were injured in a shooting Sunday afternoon on Indy's far east side. According to IMPD, around 4:15 p.m. on July 27, officers were called to the 3900 block of Hornickel Drive on a report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found one person suffering from a gunshot wound. They were reported to be "awake and breathing." About an hour later, IMPD said three additional victims had arrived at Community East Hospital. Two of those victims were reported to be in stable condition while another was reported to be in critical condition. Later, IMPD said it discovered there was a fifth victim, who was also reported to be in stable condition.
