Description
Buying a house isn't as simple as it once was. Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity says the number of affordable homes is scarce in the community.
"There's a very low supply and a tremendous demand, so that outweighs the ability for homes to stay inexpensive. It's also much harder now and much more expensive to build them," Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity president and CEO Jim Morris said.
Instead of the traditional single-lot homes Habitat Indy builds, it's building its very own subdivision, Devon Creek. Morris said the Devon Creek Community is the affordable solution for some families.
