A woman has been sentenced to 12 years in prison and four years of probation for a 2024 crime spree after signing a plea agreement in Indianapolis. Denise Honorio attacked and robbed a woman outside of Methodist Hospital, assaulted a 72-year-old woman outside the Fresh Thyme in Broad Ripple and spray painted 47 cars in a downtown parking garage. The crime spree took place in the first week of February 2024. Honorio was sentenced at her change of plea hearing on Thursday, July 24. As part of the deal she signed, Honorio pleaded guilty to aggravated battery, robbery resulting in bodily injury and criminal mischief. One of her victims testified virtually at the hearing. At the sentencing hearing, 13News reporter Rich Nye said Honorio did not provide an explanation or issue an apology for her actions.
