Description
In the height of the summer sizzle, some lake goers in Monroe County are running into limited options to beat the heat.
Indiana DNR reports beaches at Monroe Lake are closed due to high water. It's been that way for weeks.
"So the short version of the story is that we've had a lot of rain," said DNR interpretive naturalist Jill Vance. "Since really the end of March, it has almost felt like it's been raining, gosh, every day sometimes."
