The man accused of murdering an Elwood police officer has been charged with stabbing a prison guard at the Miami Correctional Facility. Carl Boards II was charged with attempted murder, prisoner possessing dangerous device or material and possession of methamphetamine. According to court documents, Boards allegedly stabbed a guard multiple times April 25 at the state prison near Peru.
