Misty Noel, the estranged wife of former Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel, asked for a new judge in her case Wednesday. New motions filed by Noel came less than two weeks after she pleaded guilty to theft and tax evasion. She was sentenced to six years in Indiana Department of Corrections custody with a year and a half behind bars and four and a half years on probation. Noel has asked the court to remove judge Larry Medlock from the case, citing bias against herself and her family. Medlock recently scheduled a hearing to set aside her guilty plea and called to send her case to trial, after Medlock said he watched an interview she did with another Louisville television station.
