Description
Metro Denver remains without fire restrictions for now, but fire crews say that could change in the coming days as temperatures climb and conditions stay dry.
Over the weekend, crews responded to several small fires in the metro area, including one Sunday afternoon near Eaglecrest High School in Aurora. Brian Willie with South Metro Fire Rescue said tall, dry grass ignited along a fence line near homes after neighbors reported hearing fireworks.
“It was slow moving in light vegetation. Got up along the fence line at some houses,” Willie said.
