Description
The Elk Creek Fire Department released the cause of a new wildfire that started burning Tuesday afternoon in Jefferson County.
The fire department said a lightning strike caused the White Hawk Fire. It is burning near White Hawk Trail, south of Conifer. It's on a mountainside about a half-mile north of the north fork of the South Platte River and a quarter-mile west of South Foxton Road.
