Description
Gov. Jared Polis is abandoning his plan to build a snaking walkway on the front lawn of the state Capitol after hearing overwhelming opposition from Coloradans.
The state was racing toward completion of the project in summer 2026 in time for Colorado’s 150th birthday, then the public found out about the $28.5M proposal for a pedestrian bridge across Lincoln Street from the Colorado state Capitol to Lincoln Veterans Memorial Park.
