Description
A New Orleans police officer and an Orleans Parish Sheriff's deputy were injured in a hit-and-run crash just before midnight Friday in the French Quarter, according to police.
The incident happened near the intersection of Bourbon and Conti streets on July 18. The officer was taken to a hospital by New Orleans EMS.
The NOPD said officers spotted a Chevy Camaro doing "doughnuts" near Conti and Bourbon streets. Investigators said when they tried to intervene, the driver accelerated, hitting an NOPD officer and the Orleans Parish Sheriff's deputy.
