Description
Polk County Schools in Florida says it has finished investigating a Floral Avenue Elementary teacher after a classroom “birthday song” sparked outrage for its racist connotations. The song, recorded for 6-year-old Legend Whitaker, included lyrics comparing him to a monkey. His mother, Desarae Prather, called the moment humiliating and says she still hasn’t received an apology.
