Description
First responders are working on a train derailment in Palo Pinto County, on Tuesday afternoon, officials say.
Palo Pinto County Emergency Services District 1 said the train derailment happened at the Coalville Road Bridge in the Gordon area and left multiple cars off the track, but none leaking contents, and no injuries were reported. Officials say the incident is being treated as a "HazMat situation" and no evacuations have been made.
"Crews are on scene mitigating the damage and hazards," Palo Pinto County Emergency Services District 1 said in a post on social media.
Union Pacific said in a statement to WFAA that 35 Union Pacific cars derailed about two miles east of Gordon around 2 p.m.
