Description
Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) and Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-NY) urged Speaker Mike Johnson to swear in Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva, accusing him of delaying her seating to block a vote on the Epstein case files bill.
Gallego called the move “obstruction,” while Espaillat said 800,000 Arizonans remain taxed without representation.
Johnson’s office denies political motives and says Grijalva will be sworn in once the House returns to session.
Statements recorded outside the U.S. Capitol.
