Description
NASA astronaut Don Pettit shared a video of the crimson-lined aurora over the Northern Lights that he shot from the ISS. Red auroras like this typically only happen two or three times during a six-month mission in space. Back here on Earth, the Northern Lights were visible across several states and parts of Canada.
