A man is facing multiple charges after police say he ran into traffic with his one-year-old child and assaulted the mother. The incident happened at around 3 p.m. Thursday. At a press conference, Yolanda Fernandez, a spokesperson for the St. Petersburg Police Department, said the incident began as a domestic argument between Treyvon Maynor, 21, and his partner at a motel. Police say the mother grabbed all her things, as well as the baby, and left. Officers were reportedly called to the location to make sure everything was okay. As they were leaving, authorities say Maynor got on his bicycle, caught up to them and got in front of the car, forcing it to a stop. He then went up to the car and "choked" the mother while she was inside before snatching the baby, according to police.
