Classified Evergreen Public Schools workers, including paraeducators, bus drivers and maintenance employees, will vote Thursday on whether or not to strike. Staff say they want higher wages and safer working conditions. The workers have been bargaining for a new contract with the school district since March, union members said. The new school year is slated to start on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
