Description
The government shutdown is hitting federal employees at airports nationwide. At Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson, more than 1,200 TSA agents and air traffic controllers are on the job without pay. Travelers welcome short security lines on day one, but remember the chaos during the 35-day shutdown in 2019. Union leaders warn stress will grow if paychecks stop, with impacts on families, travel, and the economy.
