Description
As the DC Council continues to deliberate on the RFK deal, their last-minute demands could have just jeopardized the entire thing.
In a letter sent to the council by the Commanders, the team says the council has presented the organization with "a list of unworkable and impractical new last-minute demands."
In the demands, the Council asked for $10 million a year in penalties to the team if they didn't build the affordable housing, as negotiated before, in time. They're also requiring that the stadium be the most environmentally friendly in the country, amongst other things.
A final vote is expected today, and we will learn soon if the Commanders are coming back to DC.
