Description
Elliahs Dorsey was resentenced for the criminal confinement of his girlfriend in the incident that led to him shooting and killing IMPD Ofc. Breann Leath in 2020.
Dorsey was previously sentenced to 2.5 years for the criminal confinement. An appeals court ruled that charge should have been a higher level felony. Dorsey was then resentenced to 16 years for criminal confinement. That sentence will run concurrently with his 25-year prison sentence for the attempted murder of his girlfriend. He also received 15 years under mental health probation for the attempted murder.
