Description
A Putnam County woman, who was reported missing a week ago when her house was found on fire, has been found alive.
According to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, 46-year-old Britney Gard called 911 around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8 to ask for help finding her way out of a wooded area in Hall Woods Nature Preserve, approximately 2 1/2 miles from her home in Bainbridge, Indiana. Deputies, Indiana Conservation Officers, an Indiana State Police detective and Bainbridge firefighters quickly found Gard, thanks to directions provided by 911 dispatchers.
