Description
A K-9 is being credited with helping first responders locate two missing children in Hoosier National Forest over the weekend.
Around 5:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, crews were called to the area of Sundance Lake in Hoosier National Forest, roughly 60 miles south of downtown Indianapolis, after two 11-year-olds "became separated from their mother and were lost in the thick woods," the Brown County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
Crews from the sheriff's office, Indiana DNR, Nashville Police Department, Harrison Township Fire Department and Southern Brown Volunteer Fire Department all began to search the area.
