Description
Temperatures for the first weekend of October will feel more like late July. With high temperatures forecast to reach the upper 80s, near 90 degrees, some records are in jeopardy across central Indiana.
This is rare air for October, or this late in the "warm weather" season in general. Typically, Indianapolis only sees around 2-3 days with a high of 80+ degrees in the month of October. We're three for three so far this month with three more on the way. In fact, if we go back to when this stretch of 80+ degree days started (Sept. 26), we're headed to break the all-time record for longest stretch of 80+ degrees this late in the year.
