Description
Every minute in the United States, nearly 20 people are physically abused by their partner, according to Beacon of Hope Indy.
Inside Cafe Oztara on East Washington Street, they're letting the art speak for itself.
"That's why her arm is lifted, saying, 'Hey, I found my way out of this, and I'm doing, you know, I'm doing good, I'm living and I'm happy, and I'm blessed to still be here,'" artist Katrina Patterson said.
Patterson grew up in a home filled with domestic violence.
