Police are investigating a shooting involving IMPD officers Thursday evening on the near east side of Indianapolis. The incident occurred in the 900 block of North Grant Avenue, near 10th Street and North Sherman Drive, shortly before 6 p.m. Oct. 2. According to an IMPD spokesperson, officers were conducting an investigation on 36-year-old Cartonieo McBride, of Indianapolis, who was wanted on multiple warrants on charges of theft, robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, unlawful possession of a firearm by a domestic batterer and driving while suspended.
