Description
The grandparent guardians of a 15-year-old boy charged with allegedly raping a younger boy on a Jennings County school bus say they want the public to hear their side of Landon Doty’s story. Prosecutors say security video from the special needs school bus is the key evidence in the case.
Ethel Doty says she has watched the video.
“I've seen the videos,” says Ethel Doty, Landon’s grandmother and guardian. “You don't see anything, nothing like what they say - no sexual acts."
Landon is charged as an adult with four counts of rape, along with child molesting and sexual battery – a total of 11 felonies – for alleged sexual acts against a 7-year-old boy with autism seated next to him on a Jennings County school bus. The prosecutor says he reviewed over 300 hours of security video from the bus recorded between February and April. The investigation began on April 16 when the bus driver spotted the younger boy sitting on Landon's lap.
