Description

The Marion County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a 52-year-old inmate was found dead at the Marion County Adult Detention Center Friday. Fredrick Bennett was found unresponsive around 12:45 a.m. Oct. 3. Medical staff on the scene rendered aid and requested the assistance from emergency medical services. EMS arrived on scene to take over life-saving efforts before declaring Bennett dead about 45 minutes later.
