Description

A 30-year-old man was killed when a police chase that began in Indianapolis ended with a fiery crash on Interstate 65 in Johnson County Wednesday night. According to an INDOT alert, the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Oct. 1 in the northbound lanes of I-65 near the 92-mile marker, between the Franklin and Whiteland exits. In an update Thursday morning, IMPD said the incident began just after 9 p.m. when an IMPD homicide detective near East 21st Street and North Emerson Avenue "observed a known aggravated assault suspect drive by in a truck."
