Cumberland Police say they are familiar with Knoll Ridge apartments and the attached neighborhood and not for good reasons. A man was shot and killed Sunday night in what police called a self defense shooting stemming from an attempted sexual assault. It is the sixth shooting in the neighborhood since June—the second since Friday.
