Description
A documentary crew filmed the everyday work life of employees at a paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania, in "The Office."
Obviously, that show is fictitious, but in "The Paper," that same documentary crew is now bringing its efforts to Toledo, Ohio, to follow a historic Midwestern newspaper looking for a resurgence.
"I'm one of the biggest 'Office' fans of all time, so finding out that I was going to be part of something that was in the same universe of 'The Office' was very daunting and scary, but I think the great thing about our show and I hope that what people are seeing is that it's so different," said Chelsea Frei ("The Moodys," "Sideswiped"), who plays Mare Pritti, the paper's compositor. "The thing we're really trying to do is make something new, and we never want to just totally step into 'The Office's shoes because you can't do that. It's too iconic and amazing."
All 10 episodes of the first season of "The Paper" are now streaming on Peacock.
